Actions, words and me – Helping children with conflict resolution
Our conflict programme helps children to understand what conflict is, how it affects them and how to use their communication skills, empathy, listening skills and assertiveness to express, resolve and repair relationships when there is rupture or disagreement.
This programme is practical and expressive to help children develop scripts, practise what to say in different situations and learn to listen to each other with empathy. Through the discussion and activities children will:
- explore different types of conflict situations and start to recognise underlying feelings,
- understand the importance of being able to listen and hear different points of view,
- practise standing up for their own experiences and ideas,
- recognise how to listen with empathy and know the power of repair,
- develop scripts to help know what to say and how to communicate for resolution.
Our wellbeing resources are thorough and detailed, time-saving and provide the language to help pastoral staff listen, notice and encourage children to express their thoughts and feelings in a way that is safe, supportive and relational.
Our programmes teach and embed transferable emotional literacy skills that are vital in both class and life.

The sock puppet pet craft kits are packed with items for seven people so the group facilitator can make a sock friend too!
The sock puppet pet craft kits include everything you need; socks, googly eyes, buttons, felt, pom-poms, ribbons, pipe cleaners, and fabric glue! We even include a special ‘handmade with love’ wooden button for each child’s creation. Sock puppet background and helpful instructions card is also included.
