SEND Reform: Strengthening SEMH and inclusion in your school
A free 30-minute session focused on what SEND reform means for social, emotional and mental health (SEMH), and how to respond in practical, manageable ways.
SEND reform is set to place a much stronger emphasis on early intervention, belonging, as well as consistent, whole-school inclusive practice.
Many children are struggling with anxiety, distress or dysregulation, finding it difficult to engage in learning and lacking a sense of belonging in school. Statistics show a stark picture of rising numbers at risk of absence, exclusion or withdrawal.
This session is particularly relevant for Heads, SENCOs, pastoral, wellbeing and inclusion leads with a focus on the role of SEMH within SEND reform and those looking to identify realistic, practical next steps for their setting.
Hamish & Milo supports schools to strengthen SEMH provision as part of a wider inclusive approach.
