Designed for primary schools, specialist settings and pastoral teams, this training combines practical strategies, reflection and discussion to help staff build confidence and consistency in supporting children’s social, emotional and mental health needs.
Children learn best when they feel safe, connected, understood and included. When belonging is strengthened within school communities, children are better able to regulate emotions, engage in learning, build relationships and manage challenges. This training day supports schools to explore how emotionally informed, relational approaches can positively influence wellbeing, behaviour, engagement and inclusion across the wider school environment.
The training explores:
The relationship between belonging, emotional safety and learning
Understanding behaviour through a relational and emotionally informed lens
Supporting connection, inclusion and emotional regulation
Practical strategies that can be embedded across everyday school life
Developing emotionally available and reflective practice
Building consistency across staff teams and wider school culture
