Hamish and Milo Pals
Our Hamish & Milo Pals are fluffy, cuddly friends that will help children to feel comforted, listened to, and special.
Approximately 25cm when sat down, 34cm in height our plush cuddly friends Hamish and Milo are floppy, fluffy, cuddly and squishy – able to sit, lie flat, and be cuddled.
Studies show that stuffed toys are a vital part of childhood in helping children to feel emotionally safe, soothed and regulated. They enable a sense of belonging and trust and help children to build healthy relationships that inspire imaginative play and creativity, whilst helping children to develop empathy for themselves and others. Teddies are shown to reduce uncomfortable feelings such as anxiety and stress and can have a physiological effect on our bodies and emotional state.
Children who are suffering from separation anxiety often benefit from a warm and friendly face, soft comforting material that is soothing and sensory, a smell that is familiar and the presence of a character that can be spoken to like a friend. All of this reduces feelings of loneliness and provides reassurance and comfort. A cuddle from a teddy can help children to feel a connection with the person they are missing and a feeling of being understood.
