Making a difference for children with SEMH – How to create a culture of wellbeing and provide targeted intervention

In this webinar hosted by Opogo LEARN LIVE our author Clare Williams discussed the need for a whole school culture in making a difference for children and particularly those with SEMH needs.

Clare discussed how to support children to manage in a learning context when they are struggling with their social and emotional development and mental health. How to create a culture built on the principles and values of wellbeing and relationships which is vital to ensure all members of the whole school community thrive.

The webinar focused on whole school principles and practice, as well as how to embed qualitative programmes for social and emotional development. It highlighted how to support children to express, understand and regulate their feelings and experiences in order to manage in the learning environment and how to equip pastoral staff to support the children in their care.
